6 March, 2012 by Love a bit of Perfume? We’re partial to some Polyrhythm ourselves. And soon the rest of the world will be too, at least if Universal get their way. Japan’s all-girl electro-pop trio Perfume already have numerous gold singles, one double platinum album, two gold albums and more in Japan, but now the girls set their sights on global success and have launched a,, and to make it happen. From now on, the girls’ releases will receive a worldwide release on iTunes. And their latest album JPN is on there right now ready for download from right now.
Japanese girl group Perfume made use of the technique in their single, appropriately titled 'Polyrhythm', included on their second album Game. The bridge of the song incorporates 5 8, 6 8 in the vocals, common time (4 4) and 3 2 in the drums. The Britney Spears single 'Till the World Ends' (released March 2011) uses a 4:3 cross-rhythm in its hook. 'Cling Cling' is a song by Japanese girl group Perfume, the second for their fifth album Cosmic Explorer. It was released as a single in Japan on July 16, 2014. The B-side 'Hold Your Hand' was released as a digital single on May 21. Released, July 16, 2014 (2014-07-16). CD maxi single digital download.
About Tom Smith Some say he's fuelled on nothing but energy drinks, and that when he visits Japan, he spends the whole time engaging the ground in an all too familiar way. But what we do know is that his words on the country's entertainment and culture find their way into NEO Magazine on a monthly basis, while everything else finds its way here. Be it quirky news item from the Land of the Rising Sun, or a story so gruesome it'd be rude not to pass it on, you'll find it here along with his general posts about life, work and most importantly play. And yes, he has had articles printed in the likes of MCV, GamesMaster, 360 Gamer and more, thanks for noticing.
