The Relicensing Program is for people whose driving privileges are currently suspended third degree for failing to pay traffic fines in the City of Spokane, County of Spokane, Pend Oreille County, Medical Lake, Airway Heights and Cheney. This cooperative program will provide several very important opportunities: • Opportunity for you to help develop a personalized plan to become a licensed and insured driver • Opportunity to waive your collection fees to help with the reinstatement of your driving privileges • Opportunity to combine all traffic offense fine payments from participating jurisdictions into a manageable monthly amount • Opportunity to have all participating jurisdictions release the holds on your driving privileges based upon your successful progress in completing the program. To be eligible for the program you must meet the following criteria: • You must resolve all outstanding warrants, alcohol holds, out of jurisdiction holds, child support holds and financial responsibility holds to be eligible for the program. • The suspension of your driving privileges must be in the third degree based upon unpaid fines, whether actually imposed by the court or which resulted from your failure to respond or appear. • All fines causing you to be suspended must be in the City and County of Spokane, or one of the other participating jurisdictions. • You cannot have been convicted of a “sex offense”, “serious violent offense” or a “most serious offense” as they are defined in the Revised Code of Washington.
• Your criminal history cannot demonstrate a pattern of felony, assault, drug and/or weapons charges. What do I have to do to get the benefits offered by this program?
You will need to come to the Relicensing Program for at least two separate visits. First Visit: Apply for Program & Determine Your Eligibility Come into the Relicensing Program office (located in the Spokane City Prosecuting Attorneys Office at 909 W. Mallon) for an evaluation during our regular business hours. The Relicensing Program is open every morning (M-F) at 9 a.m. - We will help the first 26 people signed in.
